Marius, Romano-Gallic usurper, 269. Antoninianus (Bronze, 20-22 mm, 3.87 g, 7 h), Cologne. IMP C M AVR MARIVS AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Marius to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVG Victory advancing right, holding wreath in right hand and palm over left shoulder. AGK (corr.) 6a. Cunetio 2507. Elmer 636 ('Trier'). Rare. Pleasant brown patina. The reverse struck from a somewhat worn die, otherwise, good very fine.

This coin is part of the first issue of Marius: his full name Marcus Aurelius Marius is given and it was struck using a reverse die of Laelian.
